Situated on the North Coast of Devon, Lynton & Lynmouth offer their visitors some breathtaking views and adventure with so much to explore. The area is perfect for walkers and ramblers who would like to explore Exmoor National Park or the Valley of the Rocks.

Lynton & Lynmouth was originally named 'Little Switzerland' by the Victorians and is now widely thought of as the 'Walking Capital of Exmoor' with both the South West Coastal Path and the Tarka Trail pass through Lynton & Lynmouth.

Lynton & Lynmouth offer a rich history to discover which includes the Victorian water powered Cliff Railway which connects Lynton and Lynmouth and you can still visit and take a ride on it today! There is also the Lynton to Barnstaple railway which was originally opened in 1898, and closed in 1935 has been revived and you can now enjoy a steam powered train journey from Lynton to Barnstaple and back.
